United Beverage has been around since before the official end of Prohibition. It was incorporated December 5, 1932, and was the first to receive a beer wholesale permit in the state!
Our founder, J.R. “Rudy” Heintzelman began distributing products from a small office and warehouse based in South Bend. In 1958, United Beverage acquired the rights to distribute Budweiser and other Anheuser-Busch products.
Today, our primary suppliers are Anheuser-Busch InBev, Constellation brands (Corona), Heineken, and a growing craft portfolio with distribution rights in St. Joseph, LaPorte, and Elkhart counties. We currently distribute hundreds of beer products, as well as a growing number of non-alcoholic beverages.
It takes great teamwork, dedication, communication, responsibility, and accountability from each one of our employees to be successful. Remember, like August Busch Jr. said, “Making friends is our business”!
